Monica Bucknam is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer, artist and educator who has been in touch with her creative abilities since she was a young child. In 2009 she helped launch the company Narrative, a graphic design boutique design studio based in Los Angeles. She is the Co-Founder.

For the past twenty plus years Monica has worked as a conceptual Art Director and freelancer for the film and television industry. She has designed for high profile clients such as HBO, CBS, USA Networks, FX, Bravo, Disney, Universal, Lifetime, Hallmark, Participant Media, Pivot, Dreamworks, NFL Network, The Peabody Awards and E Entertainment. Nonprofit & Corporate clients include, Urban Water Institute, Pasadena Christian School, Pacific Oaks College, Maranatha High School and PJHM Architects.

She is a member of the AIGA, American Institute of Graphic Arts, Friends of Maranatha Arts Board of Directors; Maranatha High School Visual and Performing Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Woodbury University with a minor in art. Early Childhood Education Certification.

In addition to her design work she is an educator. She serves as adjunct faculty at Woodbury University, taught at Pasadena Christian School, and taught courses in ceramics and painting at Plaza de la Raza, the non-profit multidisciplinary cultural arts center serving Latinos in Los Angeles. Monica has over 22 years experience teaching art and design. Her current creative projects have been creating kinetic mobiles and capturing serene landscapes using her AE-1 Canon.
